Please can someone assist me with some issues i am experiencing..
I have been running the following combination of Hardware/Software with no problems for many years:
Hardware
15” Macbook pro Mid 2010 - 2.2Ghz Quad core Intel Core i7 with 8GB Ram
Rane Serato SL3
External hard drive -Western Digital, My Passport Studio 2TB using Fire wire port, Formatted with Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
Software
Mac running - OS X 10.7.5 Lion,
Serato Scratch live 2.5.0
My Mac recently failed so I had to use my back up MacBook pro and install from scratch with a new combination which is the following:
Hardware
15” Macbook pro Mid 2010 - 2.4Ghz Quad core Intel Core i5 with 8GB Ram
Rane Serato SL3
External hard drive -Western Digital, My Passport 4TB using USB port,
Formatted with Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
Software
Running Mac OS X 10.11.6 El Capitan,
Serato DJ 1.9.5
I have had quite a few Problems -
1. I have the Hot plug problem, which I solved by reading your forum and reconnecting USB plug whilst software is running.
2. I can create crates, but when adding subcrates they disappear when I have exited the application, No matter how many times I do it, they are not there when i reopen the software.
I checked the subcrates file, the subcrates that are missing are not listed.
3. I was playing at a large club in west london for a 40th last Friday, after around two hours of playing I hit record, Recording in Aiff 24Bit to the C: drive on the Mac. Application was running fine but after a while when I was loading tracks into the second deck whilst the first one was playing, The application would freeze for a second or two, This was intermittent and not that often, Then the problem got worse throughout the set, at one point the application froze for around 6 secs, Music continued to play though, When I looked at the bottom of the screen it said it was writing tags for the recording, i think this may of been the point in which it starts a new recording as first recording has reached it's maximum size.
4. The biggest problem of all, I was playing and all of a sudden all outputs into the Mixer from the SL3 went high level with white noise, Music was still there but had high level white noise mixed with it. the application was working fine but had the audio issue.
I fixed the issue by power cycling the SL3, shutting down Serato DJ and restarting it.
please can someone help urgently, I never had any of these issues with Serato scratch live and Lion which i have used for years, Why now with Serato DJ and El Capitan?
Do I need to update firmware on SL3, Roll back OS X to Yosemite or Roll back version of Serato DJ?

Our 2015 post mortem piece generated some good comments, but one in particular from DJ Skinny stuck in my mind, if only to prompt me to write this piece that I’ve been meaning to write for the last 12 months — why are you still using the now discontinued Serato Scratch Live when Serato DJ is out there? Izotope macos catalina.
I can think of human reasons such as the mantra of if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. You may be rocking an older laptop with an equally older OS that just works, something that is essential if your livelihood depends on it working 100% of the time. Or perhaps you’re fully served by SSL and comfortable with its feature set (it’s still really good to be honest). Perhaps there are things it does that SDJ doesn’t yet do.
Perhaps it’s loyalty to a brand that changed the game and is still cool despite being long gone. Do you think you’re keeping it real by sticking with SSL? And as DJ Skinny says in his comment, the issue of older hardware not being supported is about as valid as it gets, and for many is still an open wound that’s having salt rubbed into it with every new bell and whistle that’s added to Serato DJ.
Problems With Serato Scratch Live And Sierra Download
★ KNOWN ISSUE: Serato DJ Pro offline player distortion and playback issues introduced with Windows 10 April 2018 update, now resolved in SDJ Pro 2.0.4 KNOWN ISSUE: Toggling WiFi during playback can result in an audio dropout followed by large latency. Serato DJ Pro for Mac delivers all the features and performance to meet the demands of DJs at the top of their game and sets the new standard for controller DJs.Load and customize your choice of high quality FX powered by iZotope including: Delay, Echo, Ping Pong Delay, Reverb, Phaser, Flanger, Distortion, HPF, LPF and a Combo HPF/LPF.
From my own perspective, my established lemming tendencies saw me despatch Scratch Live and ITCH as soon as I could lay my hands on Serato DJ. And bar the odd connection issue that is quickly sorted, I’ve not had a problem across three different computers. Experiences do seem to vary in this respect though, but with my former support hat on, given that so many people run issue-free, the problem is most likely related to the computer or even the user. If only companies could beta test DJs, because the stories that come from support desks are horrific. I know, because at times, we’re all that person. Teamviewer keyboard shortcuts mac to pc free. I certainly have been.
It is my long held belief that if you don’t keep up with technology, you will be left behind at some point. Not immediately perhaps but as new computer hardware and OSes come along, the environment that the old products used to work in changes, and the chances are that there won’t be a fix issued, because there’s no money in fixing product that nobody can buy.
Serato Scratch Live Software
So dedicated Scratch Live users — please tell me why you’re still using it. Cannot download purity skyrim. I’m genuinely interested in the reasons.
